Generational work without a brand to match.

Generational work without a brand to match.

The Central Institute for Human Performance is one of the most credentialed performance practices in the country. Founded by Dr. Clayton Skaggs. Built on a decade studying in Prague under Dr. Vladimir Janda, the neurologist who changed pain science, and twenty years alongside Professor Stuart McGill, the world's foremost authority on spine biomechanics. Two of the eighteen McGill Master Clinicians on Earth practice in one building in Kirkwood, Missouri.

Clients fly in for three days of one-on-one assessment. Stanley Cup champions, Olympians, and world-class executives. The visiting consultation is one of the most premium offerings in the entire human performance category.

But the brand grew up modestly, in the rhythm of academic life. The name reads like a research body. The tagline could belong to any clinic. The visiting consultation sat under "Solutions," the same hierarchy as a virtual appointment. Audiences from chronic pain patients to elite athletes were addressed in a single voice. Twenty years of generational work, quietly under-spoken.

Solution

(02)

A brand built to carry the weight of the work.

A brand built to carry the weight of the work.

We rebuilt CIHP around the truth already lived inside the building. This is the last place you need to go. The visiting consultation became the centre of the brand, not a sub-page beneath it. Three days. One team. A system built for one body. Privately scheduled. By application.

That began with a clear audience hierarchy. The elite athlete, sent by their team's medical staff, first. The high-performing executive arriving for the system to take home, second. The chronic pain patient who has exhausted every local answer, third. The book and Curious Gap platform sit alongside as quieter doors for practitioners and the curious. Every surface reinforces one belief: the answer is here.

The identity system holds two truths about CIHP at once. Clinical authority and human precision. Architectural typography. A colour system that lives in a third space, not the sterile white of a clinic, not the warm orange of a gym. Photography of hands on bodies and assessment in progress. The CIHP mark leads, with "Central Institute for Human Performance" stepping back into the descriptor role. Messaging leads with proof: two of the eighteen McGill Master Clinicians on Earth, a decade in Prague under Janda, twenty years alongside McGill. The work is the hero. The polish follows.

Conclusion

(03)

A precision practice with the brand to match.

A precision practice with the brand to match.

CIHP now has a system built to match the calibre of work happening inside the building. A unified language across the website, the visiting consultation, the book, and the Curious Gap platform. Premium signals replace booking language. The visiting consultation no longer sits buried beneath virtual appointments. It is the brand.

Messaging that meets each audience in the right order. The athlete arriving by referral. The executive arriving for the system. The patient who has tried everything else. The proof leads on every surface, the McGill lineage, the Janda lineage, twenty years of research most clinics only read about.

A visual language that signals precision before a word is read. Architectural, quiet, unmistakable. The brand now reflects what every athlete, every executive, and every clinician who has flown into Kirkwood already knows. This is not another clinic. It is the answer. The treatment is the trip. You don't drive to CIHP. You fly.
